1314 4402 Curtis PC Station Programmer Testing Controller Returned 1244 5561

In the application of CURTIS (or other brands) motor controllers, especially for replacing an old controller, there are always some problems to be resolved. This video is for presenting how to diagnose a CURTIS SepEx motor speed controller 1244-5561 with a CURTIS PC Station Programmer 1314-4402 (via CURTIS USB Interface 1309). The controller 1244-5561 is returned by buyer. During its diagnosing process, we have found a critical fault "FIELD OPEN" which stops the controller. The "FIELD OPEN" fault could be a direct result of motor field wiring loose or motor field winding open. But it could also be the serious consequence of shorted field winding, which will damage directly the internal controller circuit. We suggest the buyer to examine the motor in details. Re-varnishing the motor coils, after cleaning it, will be recommended. As an online seller, we make this video for the reference to our buyer.
