Clarias batrachus Otherwise known as the Walking Catfish, this bizarre and interesting species of freshwater airbreathing catfish was discovered to be a native to Southeast Asia. Murina beelzebub This one has quite the interesting name also referred to as either the Demon Bat or the Beelzebub's tube-nosed bat it can be found in the Greater Mekong region of Southeast Asia. Potamotrygon rex Probably one of the most stylish of all the new species is this big guy that has earned the title of "king" with his impressive size and pattern. Inia araguaiaensis Probably the most adorable looking new species to hit our list is the pink dolphin. The pink dolphin is part of the river dolphins and are considered to be among the rarest and most endangered types of dolphins in the world. Eriovixia gryffindori Only a team of arachnologists could come up with a name as clever as Godric Gryffindor to name their newly found spider species. Eulophophyllum kirk If you're a fan of pink than you might enjoy the newest pink ladies to hit the list which consist of a species of katydid whose females come in rosy tones. Pheidole Drogon We're not going to lie but when we first saw this name we were confused thinking that it was named the pedophile dragon, and as much as we would hate to see something like that out in nature what it actually is extremely terrifying. Gracilimus radix We're not going to lie we weren't very excited when we discovered there was yet another rat species discovered. Xenoturbella churro Everybody loves a delicious churro with its crisp taste and cinnamon sugar coating but what we don't love is the fact that this new species is actually nicknamed the deep-sea sock. Drosera magnifica You may have thought Facebook was only good for learning useless facts and finding memes that no one but your grandma enjoyed seeing, but it turns out there might be more to it than we originally thought. Sartidia isoalensis The world is really a strange and fascinating place especially since we may have thought we discovered every blade of grass and it turns out we were wrong, very, very wrong. Hyanlinobatrachium dianae If you grew up watching the Muppets this frog might look awfully familiar—are we sure this shouldn't have a name change to Kermit the frog?
