My response *** number 10 has been debated for a long time, your thumb is the strongest digit on your hand, with a very strong muscle connecting it to the Ulna, this provides a lot of strength to grip onto the bar. Would you rather use less muscles? Or would you rather use more muscles, create more force, expend more energy, and do more within your workout?
Number 7 is just a common rule within dips and push ups, why would you ever want your elbows to flare out? You produce more force towards the center of your body, especially for both exercises. If you are doing a push up and want to target your chest more then widen your hands, if you want to hit more triceps in the push up, bring them closer and tuck your elbows in towards the midline. Flaring the elbows will place a lot of strain on anterior delts, which is not needed for the push up exercise. As far as the dip, once again, the target of the dip is to hit anterior delts, triceps, and chest. Flaring your elbows out more will not help you target a different part of your chest, it might allow you to contract more at the top of the exercise, but will not do much for you.
Number 1, YES, you are right! Individuals who are learning muscle ups in a kipping fashion should keep on doing so, but it is the individuals who say, I did 10 strict muscle ups, when they are kipping there way up. Notice within the video I say, "Strict Muscle Ups", you took it the wrong way. A kipping muscle up, is not a strict muscle up.
