At least 12 people died including 8 children following a terraced house fire in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia on Wednesday.
According to social media posts, the firefighters battled the blaze for about 50 minutes, ultimately managing to bring the fire under control.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances under which the fire started.
