Hundreds of owners and enthusiasts of America’s famous sport muscle car, the Corvette, met to share their personal stories at this year’s Free State Corvette Weekend in Ocean City on Saturday.

Several hundred Corvettes in different variations were exhibited in good weather at an open-air event and could be viewed standing and driving. Owners commented on their collector’s items.

“When I was this tall, I always liked the Corvette. I used to watch the Route 66 program in TV and I kind of fell in love with Corvette. I said: ‘One day I will have a Corvette,’ so in 2004 I purchased a 1982 red Corvette. That was my first one,” stated Corvette owner David Write.

The Chevrolet Corvette is an American-made sports car from General Motors, which has been produced in eight generations since June 1953.
