Russia: Putin and Jordanian King Abdullah II hold joint meeting during "Army-2021"

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Jordanian King Abdullah II inspected samples of military equipment and talked during international military-technical forum “Army-2021"in Moscow Region on Monday.

Putin noted that “direct contact with colleagues from the armed forces of other countries brings us closer, increases the level of trust”.

“Perhaps this is even more important than the demonstration of weapons, although this is also important for strengthening stability”, Russian President added.

Vladimir Putin said that relations between the Russian Federation and Jordan are developing in all directions in spite of the coronavirus pandemic.

“And of course, we hope to exchange views on the most pressing issues, including what we have been working on together for many years – the normalization of the situation in Syria and the situation in Afghanistan that has now worsened”, Putin said.

King Abdullah II of Jordan noted that Russia has always been “an element of stability of the challenges in the Middle East”.

” But I think that more important is that the challenges that we have in Syria which you play I think the most a table role to move that process forward. And again your historical role in middle east peace process having met the new Israeli government. I believe that we can be back to talking about how you prove that lies to Palestinians but again with the strong role that you played in that particular aspects that the chance of even getting the Israelis and Palestinians starting to talk to each other”, Jordanian King said.

Abdullah II also thanked the Russian President for supplying the Russian vaccine against coronavirus to their country.
