NASA performed a new drop test of the Orion spacecraft at Langley Research Center’s Landing and Impact Research Facility in Virginia, on 6 April 2021. The test version of the Orion spacecraft was dropped into the Hydro Impact Basin as part of a series of tests designed to finalize computer models for loads and structures prior to the Artemis II flight test.
