Hundreds of people smashed windows, stole from stores and clashed with police early Monday in Chicago’s business and shopping district.
The unrest appears to have been sparked by a police shooting earlier in the afternoon, which was followed by angry calls on social media for people to converge on the ‘Magnificent Mile’.
More than 100 people have been arrested.
