Ruptly is live from Leigh-on-Sea on Saturday, October 16, a day after a fatal attack was committed against the life of Conservative MP Sir David Amess.

Amess was stabbed to death during his constituency’s surgery session, which was being held at a church.

According to Essex’s police force, the MP died on the scene from multiple wounds.

The attacker, a 25-year old man, was arrested on the scene and an investigation is currently in progress to determine possible motives.

A review into the safety of British MPs has been called by the Home Office in the light of the incident.
