The Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO) has successfully separated from the second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket that launched it to a ballistic lunar transfer orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, on 4 August 2022, at 23:08 UTC (19:08 EDT).
The Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO), also known as Danuri ( 다누리) is the first lunar probe from the Republic of Korea. The KPLO unmanned lunar probe is expected to carry out the mission of lunar observation while flying at an altitude of 100km over the Moon.
