Tokyo residents could be seen taking cover from heavy rain and wind due to the passing Typhoon Mindulle on Friday.
East Japan Railway suspended operations in some regions and over 100 flights have been cancelled at Haneda Airport in the capital.
Japan’s weather services say similar weather is likely to continue into Saturday.
