‘International Military Excercize in NATO-Ukraine Hot Spot’

The US and Ukraine are hosting the Sea Breeze military exercises with 32 nations near the Black Sea and have started testing cooperative defence techniques in the Kherson region.

The area in Ukraine has become a critical contention point between NATO and Russia and the exercise, lasting two weeks so close to the border, sends the message NATO supports Ukraine, which is engaged in a conflict with Russia-backed separatists in the east of the country.

Moscow has criticized the drills, and the Russian Defense Ministry said it would closely monitor them.
