This is the place that trains and locomotives from the SBB are serviced, near Dreispitz in Basel. Interesting on this track is the retractable catenary line, made possible through the pivot on the holding arms. The line is retracted when work needs to be carried out on the roof of a given vehicle or carriage. The overhead lights are an indication that voltage is present. Behind the building, a track runs connecting Basel marshalling yard with the Jura region. At the end of the video, Re 4/4 II 11175 (which has since been scrapped) can be seen passing on this track. A safety stop must be made before entering any buildings, as seen at the beginning of the video. The maximum allowed speed is 5 km/h.
