The city of Lopburi is being overrun with sex-mad sugar fuelled monkeys after Thai locals began feeding them sugary treats.

When lockdown happened, the tourists who visited the area and fed them fruit disappeared.

The hungry macaques started to turn violent, attacking each other and people in the street.

In an effort to curtail the anger, locals began feeding them sweets, fizzy drinks and cereal.

However, it’s had a negative reaction: officials say the high sugar diet has caused them to get up to more ‘monkey business’ than usual.

With macaque population numbers exploding, wildlife officials aim to neuter a large percentage of the monkeys as they attempt to bring normality back to the streets of Thailand.
