Australia: Protesters march in Melbourne at massive rally against COVID-19 mandate

The state’s pandemic bill came into effect on Friday. The bill, among other things, makes it law that people must be fully vaccinated to access most workplaces and venues. Protesters chanted and carried placards, and while passing by Victoria’s state parliament, they also caused traffic difficulties.
According to official sources, the state of Victoria recorded 1,504 new COVID cases and seven deaths solely on Friday.
