The Taliban have banned all protests that haven’t been granted official authorisation. The announcement came one day after Taliban gunmen fired into the air to disperse anti-Pakistan protesters calling for “freedom” in Kabul and across the nation.

The group are also reportedly breaking up women’s rights protests using tear gas and tasers. But Afghan women continue to protest, demanding an inclusive government and women’s rights.
